Community Response for HIV and AIDS Prevention, Care and Mitigation Program
The project aims at engaging communities in managing and mitigating HIV and AIDS related problems. Our staff and volunteers work with other community based organizations to combat AIDS and its effects through training, capacity building and direct service provision.
The community especially women and youth groups are encouraged to participate in the program. This program has helped to improve the welfare and the quality of life of orphaned children and those who take care of them as well as the sickly widows.
CSF has further offered training of local community leaders, councilors, and home care providers, service providers for people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. Support offered include basic nutritional foods, clothing and very small grants for starting and sustaining micro projects to especially child- headed homes, widows. Young people have been further encouraged to take part in livelihood and vocational skills trainings so as to improve their own lives.
